The Brigada Infantaria Paraquedista (First Paratroop Infantry Brigade) is headquartered and concentrates its troops in the Military Village, in Rio De Janeiro.
Because of its tactical and strategic maneuverability, the Brigade of Infantry Parachutists is considered basic to the Brazilian Army. It is prepared to be launched behind enemy lines and to seize important objectives.
Organizationally, It is similar to the other infantry brigades, but once deployed, it can sustain itself in independent action for up to 72 hours.
Preparada para ser lançada atrás das linhas inimigas e conquistar objetivos importantes na manobra tática e estratégica dos escalões superiores, a Brigada de Infantaria Pára-quedista é considerada, por sua mobilidade, fundamental para o Exército Brasileiro.
A Brigada concentra suas tropas na Vila Militar, no Rio de Janeiro. Tem sua organização semelhante às demais brigadas de infantaria e é apta a durar na ação, apenas com seus meios, por até 72 horas.
